Supporting Basic Needs & Promoting Financial Education for Kids

Bonzy Charities supports the needs of children from low- and moderate-income families through their schools via programs which include Coat Days and Financial Literacy Days. We welcome potential partners in our efforts to provide children with winter coats and our work teaching financial literacy to kids.

Be Part of the Solution

“Be Part of the Solution” is a challenge to all people, organizations, and schools we work with. We challenge all organizations, as we challenge ourselves, to make a difference in the lives of children.

All your dreams can come true. Choices are up to you.

Financial Literacy Days

Bonzy supports Financial Literacy Days with funding and volunteer support from financial institutions, corporations, and foundations. Our books promote the concepts of saving, budgeting, planning, donating, and making good choices. For Financial Literacy Days events, volunteers visit kindergarten, first grade, and second grade classrooms to conduct interactive read-alouds with students. Afterward, each student is given a copy of the book to keep.

Coat Days

Bonzy Charities works with school districts to prioritize elementary schools that have high student participation rates in free and reduced-price meal programs. On Coat Days, every student receives a new winter coat, with volunteers assisting in the selection the new coats. Many of these students are coming to school on the coldest days of winter in worn hand-me-down coats, sweatshirts, or thin fleeces. With funding from corporations, foundations, and individuals, Bonzy purchases the new coats from Operation Warm, an organization with which we are a community partner.

Bonzy’s guiding principle is “Be Part of the Solution”. If you or your company would like to learn more about how to support children through a Financial Literacy Day or a Coat Day, please get in touch with us today.
